| The High Country Business Park is an ongoing project of the
Sierra Economic Development District to promote economic development in the rural areas of Northern California. Business owners who are facing downsizing
or lay-off issues can find resources assistance through links to Golden Sierra Job Training Agency and One-stops Employment Centers for each of the counties
in the region.
This site also offers live business discussion for businesses wishing to participate, a message board to post questions to a qualified business counselor,
and a frequently asked questions section for business owners/entrepreneurs seeking answers to common questions.
Sierra Economic Development District provides for local small business loan funding with participation in the U.S. Small Business Administration Microenterprise Loan Program. Businesses may pursue start up or expansion funding up to $35,000 on a direct basis and the program can be used in conjunction with other financing as long as the outside financing does not exceed two times the SEDD loan amount. Program information and applications can be obtained by clicking HERE. For more information about SEDD and its programs visit the web site at www.sedd.org. This website is a
partnership among Sierra Economic Development District and its members,
the U. S. Small Business Administration, Sierra Forest Communities Institute,
P. G. & E., and Golden Sierra Job Training Agency. These services are partially funded by a grant from the U. S. Small Business Administration. SBA's funding is not an endorsement of the products, opinions, or services. All SBA funded programs are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. SEDD is committed to provide services on an Equal Opportunity basis. |
